TeachAid: "AI" Marketing Claims vs. Technical Reality

Direct source-code audit findings of TeachAid / Frontlearners deployed files:

❌ 0 External AI / Model Calls (Zero Real AI)
Source code inspection of TeachAid's tools (ILAW Lesson Planner, CIDRA Career Assessment, and Grade 1 Lesson wrappers) confirmed zero network calls, zero real-time audio streams, and zero connections to any conversational AI or LLM endpoint.
📝 "AI" is Merely a Self-Declaration Form Field
The only place AI tools are referenced in TeachAid's lesson planner is an input placeholder text: placeholder="e.g., None / ChatGPT / spelling checker". Teachers manually type whether they personally used outside tools to satisfy DepEd compliance. The platform generates nothing itself.
📄 Static Moodle Exports & PowerPoint Slides
Marketed "AI Feedback Tutoring" is actually hardcoded static feedback text exported from legacy Moodle quiz backups. The lesson modules are non-interactive PowerPoint slides exported via an older converter (circa 2020) loaded into basic HTML frames.
📊 Unprotected Student Data Exfiltration
Career assessments do not use AI matching algorithms. Instead, client-side scripts draw a static radar chart and dump student names, school IDs, and answers directly to an unauthenticated public spreadsheet script and raw CSV file.
⏳ Forced Annual "Time-Bomb" Expiry (May 31, 2027)
Despite containing purely static files that never change, TeachAid embeds a client-side JavaScript date check (teachaidExpiryDate = new Date(2027, 4, 31)) that wipes the screen at the end of the school year and forces schools to contact Frontlearners for an "updated package"—artificially locking DepEd into annual renewals for static USB files.

Summary: The "Offline" Illusion

TeachAid markets "offline access" as a feature, but it only runs offline because it has zero actual AI—it is literally a bundle of static 2020 PowerPoint slides and pre-written Moodle multiple-choice quizzes copied from USB drives.

Ediphi could easily package static slides or basic offline forms onto a flash drive tomorrow—but why? Genuine conversational AI, neural speech engines, computer vision, and tamper-proof credential verification inherently require modern cloud computing. Calling an offline PowerPoint presentation an "AI platform" is fundamentally misleading.
